96600-3 HERSCHEL EMULSIFIER

A heated bath with stirrer to allow water and a test samples to be emulsified consistently, prior to measuring the time taken for separation to occur.  The unit accommodates up to seven test vessels (five working and two sample pre-heat positions) in an oil bath. The bath is heated to and maintained at any set temperature between 25 and 150°C. The unit is a combined heater and re-circulating pump, with digital temperature control and display, RS232 interface for connection to a personal computer, and over-temperature and low fluid level warning devices.

The stirrer head can be rotated over each test vessel in turn, and is locked accurately in position by a detent pin. The stirrer head houses a motor and variable speed controller, with a range of 50 to 1800 rev/min, and a digital tachometer. The stirrer control unit incorporates a digital timer and display, and provides power to the stirrer head and the heater unit.
