The RHEOTEK JETVISC provides a reliable and precise method for measuring aviation turbine fuels and other petroleum products at sub zero temperatures. Automatic flow time measurements are determined in high precision ASTM Ubbelohde viscometer tubes.
Reported kinematic viscosity results are in full compliance with ASTM D445, IP 71 & ISO 3104.
The JETVISC was developed by Poulten Selfe & Lee Ltd in response to the industry’s desire for a simple, time saving solution to automating the kinematic viscosity measurement of jet fuels.
The JETVISC Analyzer can be configured with one or two measuring cells.


Automatic Viscometer for High Throughput Applications
The RHEOTEK Automatic Viscometer (AV-2) provides a reliable and precise method for measuring petroleum liquids.
The AV-2 reverse flow capillary tube is suitable for measuring transparent, opaque and black oils.
The AV-2 is configured with two capillary tubes, allowing simultaneous measurements.
The two viscometers can be operated at the same or different temperatures.
Viscosity Index can be calculated for oils measured at 40 and 100ºC.
Typical applications include the measurement of new and used lubricants, distillate and residual fuels.
A heated sample rack is available to hold higher viscosity samples or residual fuels prior to measurement.
The AV-2 meets the precision requirements of ASTM D445 and is fully compliant with IP543.
Several AV-2 models are available depending upon the nature of the application.

PSL Viscosity Reference Standards
Suitable for calibration and verification of all types of viscometers
The accuracy of Glass Capillary viscometers, rotational viscometers & falling ball is easily monitored by running a certified viscosity standard.
Certification in accordance with UKAS (ISO 17025) guarantees a third party control result - without the inconvenience of having to ship the viscometer
for recalibration or verification. Fully traceable The UKAS (ISO 17025) certification of the PSL reference standards documents direct traceability to the
internationally agreed standard value of distilled water at 20 degrees C. At the PSL calibration laboratory a primary viscosity scale is maintained.
Unique identifyer
Each bottle with reference liquid has a unique number and is directly traceable to the primary viscosity scale held in the laboratory. Calibration
details on the certified reference materials are obtained using the master viscometer procedures detailed in ASTM D2162.
United Kingdom Accreditation Service
The accreditation of the PSL Laboratory includes kinematic and dynamic viscosity. Further details available on www.ukas.org, laboratory No. 0247.
UKAS administrates ISO 17025 accreditation in the United Kingdom. Calibration performed with ISO 17025 Certificate is certified to the same level
as NIST traceable calibration.
Reference method for capillary viscometry All Viscosity Reference Standards from the PSL Calibration Laboratory meet the precision
requirements set out in ASTM D445/D446.
